10 Years to 100% - Montpellier’s Latest Triumph at Hearth and Home 2007

Montpellier, the multiple-award winning manufacturer of premium marble fireplaces celebrated 10 years in business with a champagne reception for visiting retailers at the 2007 Hearth and Home show.

How apt then, that this important milestone should be marked with a 6th exhibition award for best Fireplace Mantel for the company’s groundbreaking Monte Carlo design, which then went on to garner the prestigious Fireplace of the Year award.  Never before has a product been awarded a perfect 100% score by the judging panel in the history of the exhibition awards.  For a marble fireplace, made by hand from a natural material to be declared “perfect” is an incredible accomplishment.  This latest triumph is a tribute to the calibre of workmanship, material and finish, which have come to be associated with the Montpellier brand. 

The Monte Carlo, along with the Monaco design (also unveiled at this year’s Hearth and Home show) and the current San Marino form Montpellier’s Riviera Collection.  The designs included in this range all feature integrated columns embedded into the fascia and legs of the fire surround, a ground-breaking technique Montpellier introduced last year and which has been further developed due to popular demand.

This year Montpellier also introduced two new materials, Persiano Limestone and Crème Classico.  A limited number of the company’s designs are available in these materials and the roll-out will extend to the whole range eventually.
