Hand Home 2003 will mark the advent of some exciting new developments at Montpellier Marble.
We are delighted to unveil 6 new surrounds at Harrogate this year, in various sizes and designs, which will address different niches in the market. We have made these prototypes in Bianco Persiano, our most sought-after marble, and if successful, these designs will be available in other colours in the near future.
The Louisiana 62” double column surround is in response to retailers requesting a follow up to the fabulously successful Tamara: a larger chimneypiece of majestic proportions and imposing elements inspired by colonial style architecture. The Louisiana can be offered with an inglenook option or paired with a suitable cast iron insert or back panel.
The Niagara 54” is a stunning creation in marble and glass which will set a new standard in contemporary hand-carved fire surround design. Layers of glass, backed by mirror have been painstakingly assembled by hand within each fireplace leg. As the price tag reveals, The Niagara is a veritable “haute couture” piece – taking hours to create but entirely exclusive.
The Cameron 54” and Maclaren 54” are the first in a collection of tartan-inspired fireplaces drawing inspiration from the rich history of the Scottish Highland clans. The linear perfection, symmetry and innate elegance of the various tartan patterns are hand-carved onto marble with stunning results.
