After a break last year, Montpellier Marble was back at this year’s Hearth and Home Exhibition with nine brand new designs. It left with an impressive list of orders and yet another exhibition award to add to its prestigious collection.
As managing director Eve Iravani told us, “By taking a bit of a breather last year, we had a chance to work hard on our new models and Michael came up with some ground breaking designs that were enthusiastically received by our retailers and other visitors to the stand.”
Eve continued, “This has been a challenging year for those in the fireplace industry and most of our retailers have experienced a slowdown. We wondered how attendance at the show might be affected and whether people would entertain the thought of adding new models to their showroom models with uncertain times ahead.”
”In the event these concerns were unfounded. Our stand was continually busy for the first two days and we also captured good leads on the final day. Our retailers were eager to take on new designs for the forthcoming season and this can only mean they are confident of selling them.”
The nine new designs launched by Montpellier Marble included the Atlanta, which won top honours in the category for fireplace assemblies in solid marble, and the Florida, also a finalist in the same category. The Giovanna, a mantel incorporating full columns and a reverse waterfall hearth, was a finalist in the category for fireplace mantels in other materials.
Completing the line up of new models were the New York, Oxford, Harvard, Denver, Chicago and Paris all of which are featured in its latest 35 page brochure and on its website www.montpellier.co.uk.
And for the observant, yes the ducks were on the stand. The very ducks that, during the last nine years, have witnessed the growing success of Montpellier Marble and the notable additions to its collection of exhibition awards trophies and certificates.
