Montpellier Marble Dedicated Delivery Service for your chosen Fireplace

Your Montpellier fireplace is made by hand using premium marble and limestone by expert craftsmen.  Each fireplace is individually hand-carved and hence - a one-off. All the materials used in the production of our fireplaces are exclusive to Montpellier, which makes your fireplace even more unique and special. To ensure the order process and delivery of your fireplace progress smoothly, here is a guide to help you understand what is involved and where we need your input.

Order Confirmation

Once you have selected a fireplace model and material, the selling price will appear on your screen. This price includes a fire surround, a hearth and a back panel. If you need help with these terms, please contact us.

The price shown does not include extra components which you may require in some cases, like slips, back hearths or other additional pieces. The price shown is ex-works from our warehouse. You have an option to collect your fireplace should you so wish.

Lead Times

Once your order is confirmed and payment processed, your fireplace will be picked from stock in our warehouse and put aside.

Delivery can take between 2 to 4 weeks from the order date. However, should you wish for it to be delivered earlier than two weeks, please let us know and we will endeavour to do so. Should you wish to place your order but have us store it for you until you are ready for its delivery, we can do this too for up to a period of 90 days from your order confirmation date.

Once you have chosen your fireplace and placed your order, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred delivery day, but this can be subject to unexpected changes in lead times. In the unlikely event of a delay, we will contact you to change your delivery date.

You also have the option to collect your fireplace which you can do by contacting us to arrange a suitable date.

Confirm or Change

A few days before your delivery date, we’ll contact you to make sure you are ready for your fireplace delivery, via a telephone call and/or an email. Once a delivery date is confirmed, please ensure you or your representatives are present to take delivery of your fireplace. To avoid cancellation charges, please notify us at least 2 days before your delivery date if you will not be available to take delivery.

Your fire surround and matching hearth will arrive packed in a specially-designed box, and the back panel will travel separately as part of the same consignment. Your fireplace will be unloaded by our representative and be left in a designated safe area chosen by you.

It is your responsibility to source a fireplace installer or builder to unpackage, assemble and install your fireplace.

You or your representative must be present throughout the delivery. During this period, and for safety’s sake, we suggest you make the area a no-go zone for everyone except for yourself and our team.

Be Prepared

To carry out the delivery successfully, we need you to clear a safe and appropriate area to store your fireplace. Please move any surrounding furniture, ornaments and crockery for easy access. Pets and children need to be kept safely out of the way. We suggest you protect your flooring and remove all breakables and valuables from access routes and the destination itself.

Check your Order

Please check your final order documentation prior to your delivery date. This is to make sure that your order: fireplace model, material and size are correct.

Please note that if anything is not on the order, it isn’t included in the delivery or the price. During delivery, it is your responsibility to check your fireplace in the presence of our representative and report anything you are unhappy with to him at the time of the delivery. Our fireplaces come in several components, all packed within a purpose-built box and we strongly advise you to check each component with the assistance of our delivery representative.

Parking Permits

Our delivery vehicle will have to be parked as close as possible to the entrance of your home – so please make space available for this on your drive, reserve a place on your street, or get a permit if one is needed.

Health and Safety

Stone fireplaces are large, inflexible and heavy objects that need very careful handling. Health and safety are a priority and to ensure that our personnel can do the best job, the access route from our delivery vehicle to your fireplace storage area must be clear. Please also make sure that there is adequate lighting en route to the destination.

Replacement Service

Although we take the maximum care, limestone and marble can break during transportation and delivery. This is a rare event and if this happens while the fireplace is in transit in our care, we will replace or repair the damaged component(s) as soon as possible with no cost to you.

Stone Colour, finish and markings

Marble and limestone are natural materials and variations in colour, veining and texture must be expected. These features are natural characteristics and must not be considered defects. Stops and fills are a normal part of the production process and where necessary, are carried out by expert stonemasons, so they should not be perceived as faults.  Colour and shade reproduction in our brochure and website are as accurate as printing processes will allow and are intended as a guide only. Samples are provided for guidance only as there are variations between different batches of limestone and marble.

Sign off and Aftercare

Order Check

Our delivery representative will ask you to check your fireplace against the agreed order to ensure you are happy and satisfied with your fireplace.

Final Paperwork

Our delivery representative will take photographs of the delivered fireplace and will ask you to sign the completion paperwork.  By signing the paperwork, you are confirming that the fireplace has been delivered successfully and to your satisfaction, and you are happy with the condition of the fireplace which you have received. We will also ask you to complete and sign our Customer Satisfaction Note.

We cannot accept any claims once your fireplace has been delivered to you and signed for by you or your representative.
